What are mooncakes?
Mooncakes are filled pastries traditionally shared during the Mid-Autumn Festival as gifts of reunion and appreciation. Traditional baked mooncakes have a thin golden pastry around fillings such as lotus seed or red bean paste, sometimes with salted egg yolk. Snow-skin mooncakes use a soft chilled mochi-style wrapper.
When is Mid-Autumn Festival in 2026?
Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Friday, 25 September 2026. Order early for the best choice of peak-season production, delivery, pickup and dispatch dates.
What is the difference between snow-skin and baked mooncakes?
Baked mooncakes have a golden pastry shell and dense filling. Snow-skin mooncakes have a soft chilled mochi-style wrapper and need refrigeration. Our snow-skin mooncakes are for Melbourne delivery and pickup only, while selected baked mooncakes can be posted Australia-wide.
Which mooncakes suit Australia-wide delivery?
Selected baked mooncakes and gift boxes are suited to Australia-wide postage. Snow-skin mooncakes require refrigeration and stay within Melbourne.

Where can I collect mooncakes in Melbourne?
Pickup is offered from Hoppers Crossing daily, with weekend pickup from Doncaster, Wantirna South and Melbourne CBD.
How do I check allergen suitability?
Our kitchen handles multiple allergens in the same facility, including nuts, peanuts, sesame, egg, dairy and gluten. Products may contain traces through cross-contact. Because we use a shared kitchen, we cannot recommend our products for a severe allergy. Leaving out an ingredient does not remove trace risk. For other allergen questions, contact us with the exact product and allergen before ordering.
Can I make a Halal-friendly request?
We offer Halal-friendly mooncake options made without non-Halal ingredients. Some mooncakes, including our bakkwa styles, contain pork and are not Halal-friendly, so contact us if you would like help choosing.

Do snow-skin mooncakes need refrigeration?
Yes. Refrigerate them promptly after delivery or pickup and follow the storage information supplied with the product.

What is included in the Artisan Mini Mooncake Gift Box?
The box contains six mini traditional mooncakes: three Lotus Paste and three Red Bean, approximately 50 g each. A vegan option is offered.
How is a gift box different from individual mooncakes?
A gift box arrives arranged for gifting. Individual mooncakes are useful when you want to choose specific flavours or add to a family spread.
Can you prepare a larger mooncake order?
Yes. Contact us with the quantity, required date, destinations and preferred gift style.
Can corporate gifts go to multiple offices or interstate?
Yes. Send the destination list so we can match each address with a suitable delivery or postage type.
What is the Prosperity Dragon Bakkwa Mooncake?
It combines lotus seed paste with pork jerky and is offered with or without salted egg yolk. It contains pork and peanut oil, so it is not a Halal-friendly option.
